Dr. Lantz is Professor and Chair of the Department of Health Policy at George Washington University School of Public Health and Health Services, where she is also Professor of Public Policy. She served as the Director of the Scholars in Health Policy Research Program at the University of Michigan site from 2002-2011. Professor Lantz has a Ph.D. in sociology and an M.S. in epidemiology from the University of Wisconsin. She also has an M.A. in sociology from Washington University, St. Louis. Her research interests include health policy related to clinical preventive services, social disparities in health status over the life course, and the role of medical care versus other resources in producing population health.
