Daniel Schneider and Kristen Harknett win ASA & NSF funded FAD grant

Daniel Schneider (ext. site) (Cohort 19 — Berkeley/UCSF) 

and Kristen Harknett (Cohort 9 - Berkeley/UCSF) have won a grant from the Fund for the Advancement of the Discipline (FAD) for $7,596 to conduct research on 'Employment Precarity and Famly Well-Being: Evidence from San Francisco 's Predictable Scheduling and Fair Treatment of Retail Employees Ordinance'.  The FAD grant is jointly funded by the American Sociological Association (ASA) and the National Science Foundation (NSF).  

Dr. Harknett is Associate Professor, in the Department of Sociology at the University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Schneider is Assistant Professor, in the Department of Sociology at University of California, Berkeley
