Michael  

is Assistant Professor of Agricultural and Resource Economics at the University of California, Berkeley. His research interests focus on the areas of health economics, environmental economics, and applied econometrics.  Recent work includes papers on the relationship between fast-food and obesity, the effects of health insurance on utilization of health care, and optimal policies in the context of traffic safety.  Dr. Anderson received his Ph.D. in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (2006) and a B.A. in Economics from Swarthmore College (1999).
