is elected to the National Academy of Social Insurance (NASI).  Academy members are recognized experts in Social Security, Medicare and health coverage, workers’ compensation, unemployment insurance, and related social assistance and private employee benefits. Individuals selected for membership have distinguished themselves by improving the quality of research, administration, or policymaking in one or more of these areas.

 is the new Site Director at the Program's University of Michigan Site as of August 1, 2011.  Dr. Norton has served as an Associate Site Director since joining the University of Michigan in 2008.  He will be assisted by Associate Directors Richard Hall, PhD, Professor of Political Science and Public Policy and Shoou-Yih Daniel Lee, PhD, Associate Professor of Health Management and Policy.
