Dr. Levine Taub received a Ph.D. in economics from Stanford University in 2008. Her research interests include industrial organization economics and health economics. Her dissertation examined the impact of market structure on the returns to innovation in the biotechnology pharmaceutical industry. As a scholar, she studied how marketing and distribution costs impact the organization of the orthopedic joint replacement industry. In addition, she continued to explore how market structure affects the direction of innovation and the ability of licensing markets for new technology to emerge and operate efficiently.
